Some members of the Class of '63 got together at the beautiful home of
Tony Breuer and his step-daughter Mary Burns and their dog Roscoe, in upstate New
York. Attending this 50th "reunion" were Bill Coady and his
fiance Wendy Saunders, Bill Pritchard, and Jim Drinane and
his wife Suleika. After feasting on delicious appetizers,
which included local cheeses and home-made Italian "hummus",
Tony and Mary treated everyone to a wonderful gourmet meal
of home-made pasta, served with Tagliatelle with Fresh Tuna Ragu. Bill
Pritchard provided dessert, a walnut layer cake. Laughter and great conversation, over
coffee and drinks, continued well into the night. And we all got to hold Tony's Emmy!
The following morning, we all repaired across the street to a local favorite for
breakfast, Barlow's Country Store. More good food and scintillating discourse. Once
the noon whistle blew, we all knew that it was time to part.
It was a wonderful "reunion" had by all, with
much thanks to our gracious hosts, Tony and Mary. And I know Roscoe will always be
my friend!

Recent
Class of '63 get-together..
On
Saturday night, December 3, 2011, myself, Tony Breuer, Jim
Drinane, and Frank Dunne, got together at Rocco's in Greenwich
Village for an evening of food, fun, and friendship. Since
Frank was the only one with a tie on, he graciously paid the
entire tab....not! Some things never change...I think he even
quibbled over the tip.
Tentative plans for a Fiftieth Reunion of the Class of '63
were also discussed during the dinner. Beginning with the
1963 Yearbook, an attempt will be made to contact all the
former members of that class. It would be appreciated if anyone
who was from that class or knows members of that class, get
in touch with either me,
, or Tony Breuer,
, with their latest contact information,
e.g. email address, mailing address, phone number, etc.

This
first picture was taken 4/21/63 at the Gonzaga Jesuit Retreat
House, Monroe, NY. I don't remember our retreat master's name,
but I'm sure you all recognize our "chaperone", Father Peter
Chiara, to the far right. It was the "senior retreat" for
the Class of '63.
The
second picture was of another retreat, this one was at
St. Ignatius Retreat House (Inisfada), Manhasset, NY,
11/19/64. We were now "sophomores" in the college at St.
Pius. Father Barry was our spiritual director, kneeling
on the far left.
In case you are wondering how I was able to "name" all the faces in both pictures, well,
a lot of them I actually remembered! For the rest, I still have my copy of the 1962 and 1963
yearbooks and was able to identify the ones I couldn't remember. Now all we have to do is find
all these people...
