CLASS
OF '62 50TH REUNION
Fratres,
June 2012 marks the 50th year since we graduated from Pius X
Preparatory Seminary.
I invite you to take part in a project marking the passage of
that half century.
In 1962 we could not see what lay before us. Now, perhaps, we
can review what is behind us.
I am asking you to trace your interior journey since that June,
especially in terms of what you believed then and what you
believe now, how your views of life and God and the RCC have
changed, deepened, departed, etc.: your beliefs then, now and in
between.
Were there milestones in the journey? Do you recall people,
experiences, books, classes, etc. that you now see as pivotal
for you?
Would you be willing to do that review in 1200 words or less and
email the essay to me? My plan is to gather these recollections,
perhaps organize them thematically, proof and edit if necessary
and if you are not insulted, and create a CD that all of us can
share.

CLASS
OF '72 40TH REUNION NEWS
The Class of 1972 enjoyed an evening together celebrating
their 40th anniversary of graduation at The Nook of Wantagh
on June 23. Members came from several states as far away as
California for the event. "Everyone looked good,"
comments Frank McQuade, Pius '72. "We've obviously changed
some. It's been forty years and forty pounds ago that I saw
some of my classmates attending." Classmates recalled
old times, gave thoughts on the closing and potential sale
and razing of the Pius building, and did a lot of catching
up. There was opprtunty to console recent widower classmates
and to fondly recall our two classmates who passed away, Brian
McGroggan and Tim Cassidy. "I hope we are back for the
50th," said event organizer Tim Castor. "Better...we
hope to see each other even before another ten years. If not,
next stop our Golden Anniversary."
"We loved Pius and still have a lot of love for each
other," concluded Frank McQuade.
